I have bitten the bullet and taken my PC to the menders.

The hard drive RAID configuration issues mean that to get the PC to work I have to unplug one hard drive. Hardly ideal is it? And I do not get a copy of my hard drive.

So I have had to transfer everything onto my laptop, then take a copy of EVERYTHING, then take my main PC to be repaired. Then put it all back again. Thankfully the first bit went fine, and I do have a separate back-up of everything always! So all that time, effort and money ensuring the security and integrity of my data has paid off again!
