PC Update

Well of course I now have to find all the CDs for the various bits of software I have that did not come with the PC. I have Photoshop, Lightroom, etc etc. But not the wireless driver - yes the one that you use to connect to the internet. Hmmmmmmm

RAID Woes

£95 for a 14 month old computer to be repaired. Oh well! Will see how it is this evening and report back later....

RAID News

Ït turns out the raid controller was not working. So backing up all my data turned a potential disaster into a minor inconvenience!

I have bitten the bullet and taken my PC to the menders.

The hard drive RAID configuration issues mean that to get the PC to work I have to unplug one hard drive. Hardly ideal is it? And I do not get a copy of my hard drive.

So I have had to transfer everything onto my laptop, then take a copy of EVERYTHING, then take my main PC to be repaired. Then put it all back again. Thankfully the first bit went fine, and I do have a separate back-up of everything always! So all that time, effort and money ensuring the security and integrity of my data has paid off again!
