Rick McEvoy Photography - Construction Photography Services

I am a professional construction photographer based in Dorset. I provide high quality professional photography services in Bournemouth, Poole, Sandbanks, Dorset and Hampshire to architects, construction companies, developers and public and private building owners and occupants.

This page features a small selection of photographs I have taken on major construction sites in Dorset recently. I have included in this set of images close ups providing interesting subjects as well as general views. I am equally happy on the ground, a scaffold or 200 feet in the area on a mobile platform.

I have over 25 years of experience working in the construction industry, site and office based for both the client and the contractor. I am a current CSCS Card Holder and possess all the PPE required to allow me to access your site with minimal disruption to your site activities

My construction experience means that I am able to photograph your construction project from a uniquely informed position. I am fully conversant with construction best practices and current site health and safety requirements. I am also familiar with current design processes which help me to focus in on the important parts of the projects. I have completed a variety of construction photography commissions which have ranged from £25m PFI Projects to smaller construction projects and product shoots on live construction sites

I pride myself on providing images quickly, and have never missed a deadline.

An updated commercial photographer web page

I have updated the text on the commercial photographer page of my website, which you can view from the link below.

Rick McEvoy LBIPP – Commercial Photographer in Bournemouth, Poole, Sandbanks, Dorset and Hampshire.

If you want to contact me just click here, fill in the boxes and submit the form. I normally respond to all enquiries within 1 working day.

My website has a number of pages which describe the different areas of my professional photographic work. On this page you will find out more about my general commercial photography work. All areas of my work are given the same care and attention to detail, ensuring that I produce a high quality service and high quality product every time, to the agreed brief, timescale and budget.
My commercial photography work has covered a range of subjects, and I have included one image from a variety of commercial commissions here.
The first image is of the manager of the EE store in Poole, taken as part of the publicity campaign for the launch of the EE 4G network in Poole. The EE store in Poole is located in Falkland Square immediately behind the Dolphin Centre. This image has been produced to give strong emphasis to the EE branding as well as the location.

The next image was taken at the Acheson Construction site at Corfe Castle. This image shows a bricklayer installing Catnic Lintols, the main focus of this commercial photography shoot for a construction communications company. Catnic Lintols are by far the most famous brand of lintols in the UK.

Commercial Photographer Bournemouth, Poole, Sandbanks, Dorset, Hampshire

The third image is from a commercial petrol station shoot at a new Morrisons supermarket in Exeter. My client provided the buildings for the petrol station. I was pleased to be able to produce such an interesting shot of a car wash! This image was processed in Lightroom then further processed using Lightroom plug-ins to produce the final image you can see here - exactly what I wanted.

By way of a contrast the next image is of a commercial diver preparing to dive after waiting for slack water on the boat Captain Lock. The divers working on the sea pipe at Arish Mell are greatly restricted by the tides and to the opening times of the local ranges.

The final shot features Marshalls products installed during a major construction project in Dorset. This is an abstract close up image where I have tried to emphasise the textures in the two products.

I am Rick McEvoy, and as you will have gathered by now I am a professional photographer based in Dorset. I provide high quality photography services to architects, builders, developers and property owners. I specialise in all aspects of photographing buildings and the built environment, interiors and exteriors. I add many years as a construction professional to my photographic expertise, as well as my fascination with buildings of all types. I also take on other commercial and industrial photography work.

I am a professionally qualified photographer, and provide a high quality, professional photography service.

My website is in sections, describing in words and pictures the photographic work that I do. This page is all about my work as a building photographer, and features five images taken at one commercial shoot. The building in question is called Lower Bridmore Farm, Dorset, and the images were taken for the architect, Andrew Stone. The building has been extensively renovated and extended.

All these images were taken on my Canon EOS 5D using my 17-40 F4 L and 24-105 F4 L lenses, all in RAW format. The original image set I gave to Andrew was processed in Adobe Lightroom, but this set has been re-worked using in addition Topaz Labs Lightroom plug-ins, to give a slightly different end product. I like to experiment with new techniques and software to give me a range of digital processing skills that I can apply to different situations and client requirements.

On my other web pages you can see lots of other photographs of buildings, including other commercial work I have done for Andrew Stone.
